Kingdom Development: Claim Land Tracts Empty Kingdom Development: Claim Land Tracts

This thread's purpose is for people to more or less call certain tracts of land that they have ideas for that they are willing to develop. Simply outline the general area in text or in a cropped version of the map and you will have ownership of that area to develop until such time as I deem that you've not done your job of developing it.

This is more or less in place to make sure that people don't suddenly take land that other people wanted to work with. Now, this isn't meant to hold up development by introducing bureaucracy or anything like that: If two people have legitimately good ideas or well-developed ideas for a reason, I encourage people to settle it on their own or perhaps mix the ideas together if such an action is applicable. It also gives an idea of who's developing what, where.

If no one has claim to that other big island east of Atimar, I was probably just gonna have Atimar claim that piece of land as well. If only so they'd pose a bigger threat seeing as they seem to be emerging as the main atagonist of the later stages of the Great War.

Seeing as how Atimar's already established I'll wait and see if people have serious objections or have a particular idea for it. Perhaps even an allied or sister nation to Atimar but not necessarily Atimar as it's distant, or perhaps we should just go ahead and say that Atimar is an uncontested naval force of power?

I had an idea for a small nation bordering Therel and located next to the straight between the big unamed island and the mainland.

Oh right well...at any rate, for the record Tilbury is just a small part of the greater part of Atimar that sank beneath the waves...it was also kinda on the other side of the continent.

I suggested "Dirshuk Isle" when I was thinking of having the whole Nordic-style of people there, but I guess we can call it "Weisshaupt's Party Plaza"?

Therel is the spit of an island in the extreme north. I'm debating tearing it down and making it rule several of those islands and have them be essentially bi-polar sailors.
Traders, merchants and whalers in the spring and summer, and god-damn RAEG vikings in the fall and winter.

Ah well thought I did write something...gotta rectify that later...

At any rate, is anyone using that big empty space between the UPT and chaos' realm?

Cause I had a vague idea for the region as a whole being sort of a wasteland esc area, inhabited by bands of wandering savage nomads, and less friends ilk that openly worship demon orbs...and some times get together into big war parties and raid the piss out of what ever nation happens to be closest at the time...

I'm sure it can have all of that but you must keep in mind that the place has had ample opportunity for civilization, and was likely part of the area that colonized before The Fall. I'm thinking there would be a lot of fractured nations there, with perhaps some larger or more civilized ones that are connected to the rivers that lead out to Kirath. The smaller, fractured ones would have large wastelands and a lot of anarchanistic groups/savage nomads/etc.

That's my take on the idea because a water route would bring stability and also that civilization would already be quite present in the area.

I figured all the civilization there was probably flattened in the more chaotic portions of the Great War, and then never got put back together...

More then likely the people would be living in the ruins of those past civilizations, if only occasionally.

I just like the idea of a big whole chunk of land being so completely feared for something a long time ago that was so horrible no one wants to speak of it save in hushed whispers and solemn tones
